Press release on the human rights dialogue between Cambodia and Japan
On 29 August 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press release on the 12th Cambodia-Japan Human Rights Dialogue.
The dialogue was co-chaired by His Excellency An Sokkhoeurn, UnderSecretary of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and His Excellency Naofumi Hashimoto, Ambassador for Human Rights and International Peace and Stability, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. They included an exchange of views on elections, fundamental freedoms, judicial reforms, legal aid programs, and protection of the rights of vulnerable groups.
